Meena ChaturvediJoint Managing Director

Ms. Meena Chaturvedi joined the Board of Directors of TIPL in 2016. As the Joint Managing Director, she oversees Human Capital Management, Internal Audit and Projects. She is responsible for working capital management and general superintendence of finance and accounts functions and also chairs the CSR committee of the Board.

Ms. Chaturvedi holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University. She has done her B.Ed from Central Institute of Education, Delhi with distinction and M.Phil. from Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.

She started her career in the year 1987 and worked in the capacity of Sr. Deputy Accountant General of India till 1994. Subsequently, she was Director (Commercial) in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. She also served as Director (Budget) in the ministry of Finance of the Government of India. She was Professor (Economics) at the National Institute of Financial Management for a short period in between.

She was the founder Executive Director of “Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority of India” for 4 years, starting 2005. In this role, she was responsible for setting up of the organization and was instrumental in designing and putting in place the New Pension System (NPS) architecture. This was followed by her role as Accountant General, Uttarakhand, Dehradun in the office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India.

In her last assignment as CEO (Strategic Business)/Director of Sahaj e-Village Limited, Ms. Chaturvedi had provided leadership to multiple initiatives to introduce e-governance on a massive scale.

Ayan BanerjeeChief Finance Officer

Ayan, 44 years old, born & brought up in the outskirts of Kolkata is a Chartered Accountant with 21 years of experiences. He completed his graduation on Accountancy (Hons.) from Calcutta University and Chartered Accountancy from Kolkata in November 1995 term under Articleship from M/S Lovelock & Lewes audit firm (Presently M/S PWC).

Ayan has professional experience of working both in Indian and International Business environments across Heavy Engineering, Refractory, Robotics, Electronics and Media companies. During his career he has been involved in establishing Accounting & Commercial processes for start-up business units, creating Direct and Indirect Tax frameworks for new unit as well as legacy operations, Treasury operations, Working capital Management, Factory Costing , Internal Audit, International transfer Pricing operations , coordination for SOX and handling Merger & Acquisition. In 1996 Ayan started his career as management trainee in Asea Brown Boveri Ltd. Bangalore. During his professional career Ayan has worked in Fanuc India Bangalore, Vesuvius India Ltd. Kolkata followed by his assignment with Varian Inc. as Factory Accounts Manager with a stint in their plant in Holland. In mid-2005 Ayan returned to India as Country Finance Manager of Varian Inc. with a responsibility of establishing, the operations in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh and then led the merger process with Agilent Technologies in 2011. Prior to his current assignment, Ayan was with ABP Ltd.

Ayan has been with Tractors India Pvt. Ltd. since February 2014 as the Head of Finance & Accounts function. Ayan since the last 2 years has been focusing on turning around the Working Capital management, inculcating thrift & cost consciousness within the Company, controlling & monitoring value eroding Business lines, reduction in litigations on Indirect Taxes etc. thereby preparing the company for moving up to the next higher level of organizational performance.

Ayan, believes “In the long run robust & sustainable financial processes backed by “bottom up” approach and process reengineering, will lead TIPL to business excellence and exceed stakeholder expectations”.

Dipankar BanerjeeChief Operating Officer – Mining Business

Currently managing the Mining Business as Chief Operating Officer – Mining Business, Tractors India Private Limited. Responsible for complete operations of Mining Business – Financial, Operational, Customer Relationships and Capability Development. As one highly engaged team, TIPL Mining Business seek to grow our sustainable share of Market Leadership by providing innovative Mining Solutions with the best value to life cycle customers, supported by our best-in-class product support capability and network.

Has extensive experience of Construction & Mining Equipment Industry in India. Has worked with Larsen & Toubro Limited from 1991 to 2012 at various positions and was Heading their Mining Equipment Business from 2007 to 2012. Pioneered the concept of Life Cycle Costing for Mining Equipment in India. Joined TIPL during the year 2012.

A Mechanical Engineer by profession from Bengal Engineering College, Calcutta. Also done Executive MBA Program on General Management from S P Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai. Participated in Global Leadership Development Program for Senior Leadership at Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Also attended Management Development Programs at McKinsey Leadership Institute, Singapore.

Gautom GhoshHead- Energy & Transportation

Gautom comes with a rich industry experience of about 29 years in Power, Capital Goods and Machinery Industry including Material Handling Equipment and Generators, etc. He has an extensive exposure in Strategic Management, Business Development, Sales and Channel Management, Diagnosing & Trouble Shooting, Customer Relationship, Technical & Commercial negotiations, developing newer business models and also in leading enterprises to profitable growth.

Gautom has completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University.

He started his career with TIL in 1986 working in Power Systems division where he was involved in leading a team of Sales Engineers in Punjab and Haryana region. Gautom is with TIPL from 01.02.2016, prior to this he was associated with Jackson International Limited in Bangladesh for over 2 years as their Chief Executive Officer. Even before that, he has worked with companies like Aggreko Energy India (P) Ltd, GE Transportation, Cummins India Ltd and Wartsila India Ltd.

Harish AvadhaniGeneral Manager Commercial & Logistic

Harish Avadhani, 52 was born and brought up in Kolkata. After completing his schooling and graduation from Kolkata he went on to complete his professional qualifications as a Cost Accountant from ICAI with certificate of merit and GDMM from Indian Institute of Material Management.

Harish has more than 25 years of rich experience in Commercial, Logistics, Material Management, EPC, Budgeting for Capex and Opex, Indirect taxation and various other commercial activities. He was also responsible for formulating and implementing various policies and processes in Commercial and Logistics areas. Harish possesses strong leadership skills and demonstrates the capability to lead a team and leverage its potential to achieve the business goals.

During his professional journey spanning over more than 2 decades he was associated with reputed companies like Raymond Cement (Now Lafarge Cement), India Foils Limited, BOC India Limited (Now Linde India Limited), M/s Tebma Shipyards Limited (An ICICI venture holding company). Prior to his present assignment, he was associated with India Power Corporation Limited.

Harish is associated with TIPL since May 2014, and is providing strategic leadership to the Commercial and Logistics function which includes procurement. Apart from C &L functions he is also steering the Sales & Operation Planning for TIPL and has introduced significant process improvements to ensure proper availability of machines at various stock points. He is also responsible for providing operational support to various SAP activities in TIPL

Harish believes in “Doing it right first time and every time, while maintaining the business objectives and conforming to the policies of TIPL to cater to the requirements of the organization and its Stakeholders”.

Manav KohliNational Construction Head

Manav Kohli has 20 years of experience in the Construction Equipment industry in the areas of General Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Strategic Planning & Manufacturing. He started his career with Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company in 1996 where he worked for 18 years prior to joining Tractors India Private Limited in May 2014.

In his last role as the COO for North & North Central, he was responsible for providing the strategic leadership & direction to his territorial team at North & North Central comprising the areas of Delhi & NCR, States of UP, Punjab, Haryana, J&K, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh & Rajasthan for achieving the business goals of TIPL in these areas.

His current role as National Construction Head entails managing revenue growth and of prime product & product support, Customer Loyalty, Profitability, Market Share and maintaining strong distribution capability in line with the business targets of the Construction Business unit.

Manav is a mechanical engineer from IIT Delhi with Executive MBA from XLRI.

Neeraj Chhabra Head – BCP & Marketing

Neeraj, born in1971, in Bhopal – Madhya Pradesh pursued his education in engineering and completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Bhopal Polytechnic College in 1991 followed by Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from State Engineering, College of M.P. – SATI Vidisha, 1995.

He has nearly 19 years of extensive experience in Sales & Marketing, Promotion of Construction Equipment, Dealer Development, Retail Marketing, Strategic Planning and Manpower Management. During his professional journey Neeraj has worked in organizations like Macons Equipment Pvt. Ltd., Soilmec Foundation Equipment Pvt. Ltd., JCB India Ltd, Telco Construction Equipment Co. Ltd., Greaves Ltd & GEAR (Gemini Power Hydraulics Pvt Ltd).

At TIPL, Neeraj is Head of BCP for promotion of Range of Caterpillar equipment like Backhoe Loader , Wheeled Loaders , Skid Steer Loader etc. and also as Head Marketing for Construction, Mining and E&T divisions of TIPL. Through his strategic Online & Offline marketing initiatives he drives Lead Generation & Additional Revenue and supports the achievement of annual business plan of TIPL across its business units. He is accountable for Retail Penetration & Brand promotion, Scaling up Market Share of TIPL products across categories, supporting & increasing the parts business revenue through focussed marketing campaigns, Customer Relationship Management to provide ONE STOP SOLUTION to customers need and facilitating the increase in participation of TIPL product groups in various business decisions of the industry.

Neeraj believes that “Going forward TIPL will be benchmarked as Customer Centric & Total Solution Providing Company and the e-BIZ & CRM Processes will bridge the Gap between Customer and TIPL through its Real Time Connect”.

Sujoy Banerjee Chief People Officer

Sujoy Banerjee is 52 years old. He completed his School Education from Don Bosco Park Circus, Kolkata and then went on to complete his Graduation in Political Science from Jadavpur University in 1987. Between 1988 – 1990 he pursued a 2 Year Post Graduate Diploma Program from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi where he was also awarded the NIPM Silver Medal for being ranked 2nd in his Batch. Sujoy is also a Certified Executive Coach from Coaching Foundation India.

Sujoy Started his career in 1990 at TELCO, Jamshedpur and has 26+ years of professional experience. Subsequently, Sujoy has worked in Dunlop (India) Limited, ICI India Limited, Philips India Limited, BOC India Limited, Organon India Limited.Served the Williamson Magor Group for 12+ years at Eveready Industries India Limited for 8 years where his last assignment was as Vice President – Human Resources and finally before joining TIPL he was with McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited where he was serving as President – Human Resources & Organizational Development.

Sujoy joined TIPL on November 02, 2015 as the Chief People Officer and he is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the functions of Human Resources, IR & Administration, Technical Training and Corporate Communication & CSR.

He was also an accomplished sportsman having successfully represented his School & University in Cricket. Sujoy is a University Blue in Cricket from Jadavpur University. Even during his corporate life he continued to engage himself in sporting activities representing his various organizations in Corporate tournaments in Cricket, Football & Golf.

As part of his co-curricular involvements, he has been a visiting Faculty at various Business Schools in & around Kolkata and also been a regular speaker at various National Seminars/Conferences across the country on various contemporary HR issues. He is a member of the CII (Eastern Region) Sub Committee on HR/IR. He has served as the President of NHRDN Kolkata Chapter from 2008-2014.
