Our inspection service covers small equipment consisting of a few thousand parts to giant size equipments consisting of million parts. Whether it is the health of a nut & bolt or a complete engine, our trained technicians with special diagnostics tools assesses the actual status of the equipment and makes correct financial estimates to get it back on track. We offer from simple walk around inspection to more detailed and complicated inspections termed as TA-1 & TA-2 in line with Caterpillar Global Practices.

TIPL has workshops at strategic locations to cater to customers at various regions. The workshops are fully equipped for overhauling your entire equipment or any subassembly and components. TIPL maintains stringent contamination control measures at its workshops to ensure Caterpillar Global standards. Every overhauled & rehabilitated equipment rolls out of our workshops only after satisfying quality performance matrix that includes engine load testing and emission checks. TIPL emphasizes on going fully green to minimize environmental impacts. Our state-of-the -art 50,000 sq ft Component Rebuild Center[CRC] at Asansol, West Bengal, designed to efficiently restore engine and drive-train components to factory standards another tool of business excellence aimed at providing immense value to the customers by helping him reduce the owning and operating cost of his machines.

Field Repair activities forms one of the core service support offered to our customers. We make sure that your equipment is repaired at site without the requirement for you to send it to a workshop. This minimizes downtime and slashes your repair expenses drastically. As a part of our Field Service Management we track some critical Key Process Indicators (KPIs) like Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Average Response Time (ART) and Average Field Time (AFT) for every piece of equipment that we undertake under field service to make sure that downtime is minimized. Our integrated business process termed 365 Days Service and IT system termed as SMS enabled Field Service Management makes sure that the moment you contact our help desk for repair request, your call is tracked closely till it is closed. This helps in proactively identifying repair and replacement requirements in advance thus helping our customer to plan and budget their maintenance repair expenses.

This forms a part of our Expert Services portfolio and especially suited to Mining customers and those having large fleet of production equipment. It reflects the concept of 'You do the mining, we take care of the equipment' for our customers. Fleet Maintenance Management includes numerous service activities ranging from periodic equipment inspection, monitoring equipment health, preventive maintenance, SOS testing, magnetic plug inspection to component repair, replace, rebuild and major overhauling. Fleet Maintenance Management is aimed towards optimizing equipment availability and maximizing productivity at reduced owning and operating cost. Depending on the fleet size and customer requirements TIPL provides on-site dedicated technicians or even sets up a fully blown up service branch operation. Customers can avail our Fleet Maintenance Management in form of various Service Contracts which may range from a simple Customer Service Agreement (CSA) to more complicated risk sharing Maintenance And Repair Contract (MARC) type. Service Contracts are value added service offered to our customers. A service contract bundles in all necessary servicing activities and is customized in line with our customer requirement. We believe in variety and diverse of service requirements based on our customer productivity, goals and equipment application. We do not go by the concept 'Same size fits all' for our customers. Our Service Contracts ensure value addition through Service Differentiators. Service Contracts can range from a simple periodic visit contract to a complicated maintenance contract with guaranteed equipment availability. A simple Customer Service Agreement (CSA) can come with or without spare parts supply with repair and replacement activities. A more complicated Maintenance And Repair Contract (MARC) covers anything to everything necessary to keep customer equipment availability over a period of time as per the agreed terms and conditions. Through Service Contracts like MARC, we undertake risk sharing with customers and guarantee fixed equipment maintenance cost and production parameters.

365 Days Service is a combination of service process, tools and people to provide a unique experience to our customers. It primarily caters to Field Service and suited for retail and construction customers. This service is available to our customers 365 days in a year. All our customer needs to do is call our Toll Free Service Desk number and forget the rest. 365 Days Service is complimented by a powerful IT tool - SMS Enabled Field Service Management. SMS Enabled FSM is an Internet enabled application with convergence with mobile telephony. It helps our service technicians for two way communication directly from the field. It has auto tracking and escalation features to make sure that every call is being attended to and closed on time. 365 Days Service takes Field Service Management to a new level and redefines customer service.

Technical Training forms an integral part of our Product Support function. We run a fully equipped Training facility with highly qualified and experienced trainers. In addition we draw specialty training skills from Caterpillar faculties wherever required. We are continuously engaged in training and developing our own technical staff for new and existing product skill enhancement. There are scheduled and customer requested training courses conducted throughout the year. Customer training imparted by us can be broadly categorized as Operator Training, Equipment - System modules and operations, Equipment Maintenance, Advanced Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis. We have a strong network of Parts warehouses across various regions to minimize delivery lead time to our customers. We make sure that all critical spares are available off the shelf to our customers. We maintain a stock of consumables and all fast moving spares. In addition to this we maintain protective stocks for new products and medium moving & insurance spares of existing products. Our IT driven procedure helps to locate any spare part instantly across our network right from the equipment site. Our internal logistics help in bringing the required part to the equipment location at minimum possible time. TIPL is linked with Caterpillar Global Network for locating and back ordering any spare if it is not available off the shelf.
